Commission de la politique économique 

ECON logo

La commission de la politique économique (ECON) coordonne les contributions des membres de la commission ECON sur des questions liées à la politique économique et industrielle, telles que la politique en matière de concurrence et d’aides d’État, les marchés publics, la politique en faveur des PME et l’esprit d’entreprise, la gouvernance économique et le Semestre européen, les objectifs de développement durable (ODD), le marché intérieur et le marché unique numérique. Ses activités comprennent également la politique économique et monétaire, la politique fiscale, le commerce international et les droits de douane (y compris les questions relatives à l’OMC) et les finances locales/régionales.

À propos

Le secrétariat de la commission ECON est responsable de l’organisation du prix de la Région européenne entreprenante (REE), qui récompense les régions de l’UE ayant la vision la plus crédible, la plus tournée vers l’avenir et la plus prometteuse ainsi que la stratégie la plus innovante en matière de politique entrepreneuriale.

La commission ECON est responsable du réseau de pôles régionaux pour l’examen de la mise en œuvre de la politique de l’UE (RegHub). RegHub est une plateforme au sein de laquelle des acteurs locaux et régionaux participent à des consultations destinées à recueillir leurs expériences sur la mise en œuvre des politiques de l’UE.

La commission ECON gère la plateforme consacrée au haut débit, qui est une initiative conjointe du Comité européen des régions (CdR) et de la Commission européenne dont l’objectif est de contribuer à ce que le haut débit soit disponible dans toutes les régions d’Europe.

La commission ECON joue également un rôle moteur et de coordination dans les relations entre le CdR et le groupe de la Banque européenne d’investissement (BEI), qui couvre un large éventail d’actions et de domaines politiques.

Enfin, au travers d’enquêtes, d’études et d’analyses, le secrétariat de la commission ECON aide ses membres à suivre les tendances actuelles dans les villes et les régions européennes et à recenser les bonnes pratiques.
