Ekonomikas politikas komisija 

ECON logo

Ekonomikas politikas komisija (ECON) koordinē ECON locekļu veikumu, kas saistīts ar ekonomikas un rūpniecības politiku, piemēram, konkurences un valsts atbalsta politiku, publisko iepirkumu, MVU politiku un uzņēmējdarbību, ekonomikas pārvaldību un Eiropas pusgadu, ilgtspējīgas attīstības mērķiem (IAM), iekšējo tirgu un digitālo vienoto tirgu. Komisijas darbība aptver arī tādus jautājumus kā ekonomikas un monetārā politika, nodokļu politika, starptautiskā tirdzniecība un tarifi (tostarp PTO jautājumi) un vietējās/reģionālās finanses.

Par ECON

ECON sekretariāts atbild arī par balvas “Eiropas reģions, kas veicina uzņēmējdarbību” (EER) piešķiršanu reģioniem, kuru nākotnes redzējums ir vispārliecinošākais, vistālredzīgākais un visdaudzsološākais un kuri īsteno novatoriskas uzņēmējdarbības politikas stratēģiju.

ECON pārziņā ir Reģionālo centru (Hubs) tīkls ES politikas īstenošanas pārskatīšanai (RegHub). RegHub ir platforma, kurā notiek apspriešanās ar vietējā un reģionālā līmeņa dalībniekiem, lai apkopotu viņu pieredzi ES politikas īstenošanā.

ECON pārvalda Platjoslas platformu, kas ir Eiropas Reģionu komitejas (RK) un Eiropas Komisijas kopīga iniciatīva, kuras mērķis ir sekmēt ātrdarbīga platjoslas tīkla ieviešanu visos Eiropas reģionos.

ECON komisijai ir arī vadošā un koordinējošā loma attiecībās starp RK un Eiropas Investīciju bankas (EIB) grupu, kas aptver plašu darbības un politikas jomu klāstu.
