Our aim is to recycle resources, as the savings made allow us, for example, to increase the budget for examining older trees and for taking care of them. The project also focuses on raising awareness among the population and on increasing biodiversity.
The new technology is expected to increase biodiversity within 3 5 years and significantly reduce maintenance costs. The number of working hours for maintenance had already been reduced in 2017; for some plots it decreased by 7% compared to 2016. Indeed, there were plots where expenditure was only 38% of the initial amount.
The creation of wildflower meadows will not only bring serenity and fresh air to the selected area and its surroundings, potentially attracting new species, it also serves to change mindsets. With a view to raising awareness and getting people acquainted with the environment and the new grassland management system, we will organise the second "Wildflower Picnic" with awareness-raising programmes about sustainability for all ages in a family-friendly atmosphere.
