The EGTC GO (Italy/Slovenia) received the award for the "Salute-Zdravstvo" project in the framework of the Interreg programme "Italia-Slovenija". The project aims at the construction of a network of cross-border health services for the improvement of health services. As part of the project, steps were taken to modernize the health and social care facilities on both sides of the border and to integrate skills also through the training of cross-border teams. The EGTC GO acted as facilitator in the dialogue between the three Municipalities represented in it - Gorizia, Nova Gorica and Šempeter-Vrtojba - and the related local health structures involved.
The Pons Danubii EGTC (Hungary-Slovakia) received an honourable mention for its project "KOMBIbike", which is a cross-border community bike sharing system service, connecting 9 towns in Slovakia and Hungary.
