The initiative, promoted by Regional Minister for Agriculture and Agri-food Alessio Mammi, member of the European Committee of the Regions, seeks to bring together representatives of regional, national and European institutions, as well as key stakeholders from the agricultural and agri-food sectors, in an open dialogue on the future of the CAP for the 2028–2034 programming period.

The discussion will be enriched by the scientific contribution of Nomisma, which will present an analytical and forward-looking overview of the future of the European agricultural sector, as well as by the intervention of the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, who will provide the national government's perspective on the ongoing reform process.

European Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Christophe Hansen will also be invited to participate in the discussion.

The objective is to contribute to the development of a shared position on the role that Regions should play in the future governance of the Common Agricultural Policy, highlighting the contribution of territories and rural communities to the definition of European strategies.
