A high‑level EU gathering highlighting how Racing Santander’s Proyecto Victoria is redefining child protection in sport and showcasing football’s power to build safer, more inclusive and value‑driven communities.

This event will bring together representatives from EU institutions, regional Governments and Real Racing Club of Santander to explore how European sports policy can translate into real, evidence‑based protection and inclusion practices for children. The conversation will focus on Proyecto Victoria, the club’s pioneering model designed to ensure that football becomes a safe, educational and empowering environment for all minors, fully aligned with Europe’s child‑protection standards.

Participants will discuss how sport can foster belonging, resilience, empathy and other core European values, while preventing violence and promoting well‑being across local communities. The program’s scientific foundations and its relevance for forthcoming EU legislative initiatives on child safeguarding will also be highlighted, drawing on the interest shown by the European Commission and other European authorities.

The event provides a unique forum for policymakers, sport clubs representatives, experts and regional authorities to jointly reflect on how football can act as a driver of social transformation, talent development and community cohesion. Through dialogue and shared insights, attendees will contribute to shaping European policy frameworks that strengthen safe sporting environments and enhance the positive societal impact of sport across Europe.
