What is the Alliance?
The #CohesionAlliance was created in October 2017 by the European Committee of the Regions and leading European associations of cities and regions. Since its launch, it has gathered together more than 12,000 members among citizens, regions, cities and counties, associations of regional and local governments, members of the European Parliament and EU sectoral associations.
In 2022, the #CohesionAlliance started a new mobilisation phase in order to strengthen Cohesion Policy. Ahead of crucial negotiations for the next EU budget, the Alliance is now fully mobilised. We ask that a renewed Cohesion Policy remains the core longterm and decentralised investment policy of the European Union, now and in the future.
