On 29 May 2024, the Green Deal Going Local working group will meet in person in the CoR premises. The meeting will focus on the role of the European Green Deal in ensuring long-term prosperity. During this meeting the final version of the Green Deal 2.0 recommendations will be presented.
The meeting will be chaired by Rafal Trzaskowski (PL/EPP), Mayor of Warsaw and Chair of the Green Deal Going Local working group.
The first point of the draft agenda is about creating thriving economies in the green transition. Under this point, the GDGL members will address the needs and barriers to accelerate the green economic transition and to create a new economic paradigm rooted in thriving economies at the local and regional level.
At the same time, the final version of the Green Deal 2.0 recommendations will be presented and GDGL members will have the opportunity to debate on them.
In the afternoon, GDGL members are invited to take part in the event " A much-needed priority: Regions and cities shaping the European Green Deal 2.0".
