Environmental sustainability plan

​​​The environmental sustainability plan will closely examine the environmental vulnerabilities visible in the urban area and set out the sustainable development objectives and measures on which the municipal council is working, with the active involvement of other institutional, economic and social actors in Novara, which will play a part in this process.

When identifying measures to be undertaken, the plan will therefore take account of the definition of "problem and/or opportunity" generally inherent in any response to an existing environmental issue, or when local residents call for more sustainability/focus on a specific environmental issue.

Basically, the plan will focus on the following aspects: the quality of environmental resources such as air, water and soil; generating and collecting waste; preventing pollution; developing environmental resources; rewilding and redeveloping derelict sites; promoting and developing urban parks; and developing the local ecological network.
