Loredana Capone (IT/PES), President of the regional Council of Puglia and CoR Rapporteur on the Opinion on "Strengthening farmers' position in the agri-food supply chain" is organising a hybrid event in Lecce (Puglia) on 5 April 2025 to offer a platform to share views on the draft opinion with local associations of farmers, civil society and the NGOs active in the agricultural and climate sector.
The participants will be informed about the activities of the CoR in the vitally important agri-food sector, which is going through a period of crisis, particularly with regard to water resources. Possible forms of support for more sustainable agriculture in the new post-2027 Common Agricultural Policy will be discussed.
The format of the event is in-person, but selected speakers will be able to intervene remotely.
