Sustainability Programme for Lidköping municipality 2022–2030.

Since December 2021, Lidköping municipality for the first time has a steering document that combines social, economic and environmental sustainability. It is the Sustainability Programme for Lidköping municipality 2022–2030. The programme helps us integrate the different perspectives, implement measures that have a clear effect and increase the pace of the work to create a sustainable society. The Agenda 2030 with the global goals permeates the programme's fourteen target areas. Examples of target areas by 2030 are:

• Lidköping municipality has a socially, environmentally and economically sustainable community planning.
• Lidköping municipality has an attractive nature and coherent green and blue structure, valuable for plant and animal life as well as for municipal residents and visitors. An urban development plan has been adopted by the City council. As part of this work, a survey of ecosystem services in the city and a green infrastructure plan were made. The urban development plan shows the need for measures to create a coherent green and blue structure. In this way, people's well-being is benefited and the ability to adapt the city to a new climate is improved, while biodiversity and carbon sinks increase. The sustainability programme provides an important framework and target image for the municipal organization as well as for residents, businesses and associations when we together create a more sustainable Lidköping.
