The Subsidiarity Conference is a biennial event that seeks to strengthen the EU inter-institutional dialogue on subsidiarity scrutiny and to allow for a meaningful exchange between institutions and stakeholders involved in active subsidiarity and better regulation activities.
Against the backdrop of the current EU institutional and policy agenda, participants will exchange on how active subsidiarity can contribute to a competitive and cohesive Europe. Discussions will focus in particular on active subsidiarity in the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028–2034 and on whether simplification and active subsidiarity can go hand in hand.
