The project stems from the desire to translate the founding principles of the European Committee of the Regions into concrete experience, promoting social cohesion, civic participation and the enhancement of local communities as pillars of European integration. Through music, sport and culture, universal languages capable of breaking down barriers and stimulating empathy, the event aims to strengthen the sense of European belonging, promote intergenerational dialogue and build networks between citizens, institutions and territories.
General objectives
• Promote active European citizenship through inclusive artistic and sporting forms.
• Stimulate youth participation, social innovation and intercultural dialogue.
• Strengthen the link between European institutions and local citizens, highlighting the impact of EU policies on everyday life.
• Build a multi-level network between artists, local authorities, institutions and civil society, in line with the CoR's bottom-up approach.
The event is hosted and organised by Mr. Fabrizio Santori, member of the European Committee of the Regions (European Conservatives and Reformists Group) and Municipal Councillor of Roma Capitale.
