Adam Ciszkowski (PL/ECR) will bring together local and regional stakeholders, young leaders and citizens to discuss how to strengthen youth participation in democratic life at a time when voter turnout among younger generations remains uneven and trust in institutions is evolving. The dialogue will explore how local and regional authorities can better involve young people in decision‑making processes, from participatory mechanisms and civic education to digital tools and grassroots initiatives, while identifying best practices and overcoming barriers to engagement.
The discussion will also highlight the key role of young politicians in shaping future policies and political culture, bringing fresh perspectives and a closer understanding of the expectations of younger generations. With the participation of several Young Elected Politicians, the event will underline the importance of supporting young leaders at local level to ensure more forward‑looking, inclusive and responsive policymaking, and to reinforce democratic renewal across Europe.
