Green Deal Funding Alert – June 2023

The monthly Green Deal Funding Alert gives you an overview of funding opportunities and initiatives that may be of interest to your city or region. In this edition, we have highlighted three programmes that offer financial support, guidance and project assistance to European cities and regions as well as companies. Read on to find out how you can benefit from these initiatives!

  1. Financial support: EUI Cities Innovative Actions - Second call for proposals!

    2. Are you looking for financial support to implement innovative actions in your city?

    EUI has officially launched its Second Innovative Actions call with a budget of EUR 120 million of ERDF funding. This is your chance to be bold, take risks and get ready to share new innovative solutions!

    Submit your project on Greening Cities, Sustainable Tourism or Harnessing talent in shrinking cities here and receive up to EUR 5 million in ERDF co-financing within a maximum period of 3.5 years.

    Deadline: 2 p.m. CEST on 5 October 2023.

  1. Covenant of Companies

    2. The European Commission has launched a new pilot initiative, the Covenant of Companies, to assist European companies in their journey towards decarbonisation. The Covenant of Companies offers companies free of charge knowledge and support on preparing for a net-zero future, including:

    • practical, step-by-step guidance and technical assistance;
    • advice on energy saving costs;
    • carbon footprint measurement;
    • support in boosting their sustainability measures.
