This is the latest edition of the Green Deal Funding Alert, a monthly newsletter that keeps you informed about funding opportunities and initiatives that support sustainable development and the transition to climate neutrality. This edition shows you how to apply for support to improve regional climate risk management plans, access funding for innovative energy and technology projects or the development of new methods for tracking various forms of pollution in your city. 1. Climaax Call for Proposal - Generating a Regional Climate Risk Assessment
Are you a regional or a local authority or a community in regions and areas with high vulnerability to climate change impacts? Are you looking for financial and practical support to carry out regional climate risk analyses to improve climate and regional risk management plans?
Beneficiaries of the "Climaax" project will receive financial, analytical and practical support to improve regional climate and emergency risk management plans. Up to EUR 300 000 lump sum funding per project is available. Proposals by public bodies or non-profit legal entities should aim to generate a regional Climate Risk Assessment covering a three-phased approach. The selected beneficiaries will have up to 22 months to carry out their project.

2. Innovative Projects in Cities – EUI Call for Proposals
Do you have scalable new ideas for your city on how to speed up the energy transition or use technology to enhance services for residents?
The European Urban Initiative (EUI) – Innovative Actions call for proposals offers up to a maximum of EUR 5 million co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) for projects with a maximum implementation phase of 3.5 years. This project is targeting inventive projects focusing on the two topics of "Energy Transition", such as smart and integrated local energy networks, and "Technology in Cities", for example to boost local authorities' capacities to offer high-quality citizen services.

3. Zero Pollution Cities– Horizon Europe Call
Do you want to contribute to making European cities cleaner and healthier? Then submit your application for the Horizon Europe project on Zero-Pollution Cities.
The goal is to develop new methods for tracking air, water, soil and noise pollution, enabling more informed and targeted measures to reduce it and ultimately improve quality of life for our citizens. Eligible projects must involve at least two cities, with ideally at least one of them being a city selected for the EU Mission Climate-Neutral Smart Cities and/or a city signatory to the EU Green City Accord. The call has an overall budget of EUR 20 million.
