On 29 June 2026, members of the RegHub network gathered at the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) in Brussels for their annual Brussels workshop, a key moment to take stock of ongoing work, exchange views with European institutions, and set priorities for the months ahead.
The workshop focused on ongoing and upcoming consultations, the EU Better Regulation agenda, and follow-up to the network's public procurement activities.
The morning was devoted to consultations, covering the AI Act, the National And Regional Partnership Plans, the Water Framework Directive, and the Anti-Racism Strategy. For the latter file, CoR rapporteur Pär Löfstrand (SE/Renew) contributed to the exchange alongside the European Commission.
The afternoon opened with a panel on the Commission's updated Better Regulation agenda, featuring CoR rapporteur Matteo Bianchi (IT/ECR). This was followed by a session on public procurement. Both these panel discussions were attended by external experts and Commission representatives.
