During the workshop, participants discussed ongoing and future RegHub consultations and took part in an exchange on EU policy implementation.

The CoR presented the network’s previous and ongoing work, drawing on the findings and experiences of RegHub consultations on the implementation of the Water Framework Directive, National and Regional Partnership Plans (NRPPs), and Public Procurement.

The session on RegHub’s future work featured contributions from the European Commission. The Secretariat-General presented the outlook for the Simplification Platform, while DG GROW provided an overview of its work on gold-plating, on which RegHub will soon launch a dedicated consultation.

A further session focused on the practical challenges of implementing EU policies at regional and local level, bringing together perspectives from Croatia and Spain. The exchange featured Mr Nikola Dobroslavić (HR/EPP), Member of the Regional Assembly of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, and Ms María Cruz Ferreira Costa (ES/EPP), Director-General for European Union of the Region of Murcia, who shared their respective experiences and insights.

Participants also had the opportunity to take part in a study visit to Dubrovnik’s historic Old Town.

The CoR and RegHub would like to warmly thank Mr Nikola Dobroslavić and his colleagues from Dubrovnik-Neretva County for their excellent cooperation, outstanding hospitality and valuable contribution to the success of the workshop.
