AsPH4C is generating a knowledge hub on the transformation of waste into value-added products, with a view to:
-Reducing municipal waste
-Ensuring that the process industry specialises in chemical and energy recovery
-Ensuring cooperation between research, industry and administration.

Asturias Paradise Hub 4 Circularity (AsPH4C) is a circularity hub serving regional targets of zero waste and carbon neutrality.

Its technology hub is made up of a network of pilot, public and private plants, reproducing processes or parts of processes for waste recovery, which can work together with different symmetries, collectively reaching the demonstration stages.

The network is equipped with an online tool in which each pilot plant describes its equipment, the applications tested, the input and output flows, its capacity and patterns of use and provides contact details. The tool allows each pilot plant to be classified according to different criteria:

  • Value chains, using groups of LoW codes
  • The sectors and markets in which it is possible to apply the technology
  • Technologies, basic operations, which give value to the waste
  • Added value, business expectations for recovery
  • Scale of the pilot plant, size compared to an industrial installation.
