Bologna aims to create a sustainable cultural district. The theme of environmental sustainability has been developed, thanks to H2020 ROCK project, into various activities that are based on the action-research-action method, through the development of micro-scale prototypes to evaluate both the trigger power they have in solving complex problems, and the replicability in other city events contexts.
The pilot projects touch upon sustainable public calls, life-cycle assessment in cultural events, circular economy and public-private-partnerships.
The goal is to create a sustainable network with creative industries, NGOs, public and private representatives and to set up a permanent working group to discuss sustainable event management.
