The Museum of National Liberation Maribor and the Maribor Regional Archives, Slovenia, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Brussels and the Slovenian delegation of the European Committee of the Regions kindly invite you to this exhibition, hosted by the European Committee of the Regions.

The exhibition presents the construction of the first hydroelectric power plant on the Slovenian part of the River Drava - the Fala power plant, which at the time of its construction was considered one of the most advanced technical achievements in Central Europe. It includes a wealth of photographic material from the period 1913-1918, documenting the construction process, the demanding working conditions, the role of local workers and prisoners of war, and the remarkable technological innovation that attracted the attention of the wider international public.

Opening day

On the 10th of June 2025, at 13:00, first day of the exhibition, an opening ceremony will take place, honoured by the presence of esteemed guests, enriched by the Slovenian folklore group from Styria.
