On 5 December 2024, the Green Deal Going Local working group will meet in person in the CoR premises.
The meeting will be chaired by Rafal Trzaskowski (PL/EPP), Mayor of Warsaw and Chair of the Green Deal Going Local working group.
The first point of the draft agenda is an in-camera reflection debate between members on the key achievements of the working group and on possible ways forward in the new mandate.
The second point of the agenda is a debate which will address the next phase of the European Green Deal. It will zoom into the new priorities of the EU institutions and will tackle the main needs and opportunities offered to cities and regions in the new EU term of office.
The meeting will conclude with a debate on the role and added value of EU funds in providing support to cities and regions to implement projects that are aligned with the European Green Deal goals and objectives.
