The Opening session of the 20th European Week of Regions and Cities will be an interactive debate on the current challenges and future perspective of cohesion policy, its programmes and financial tools for recovery. Vasco Alves Cordeiro, President of the European Committee of the Regions, Elisa Ferreira, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms and Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament will engage in debates with CoR members, local and regional authorities, young local elected politicians (YEPs) and event partners.

The 20th edition of EURegionsWeek takes place from 10 to 13 October 2022. This year's motto is "New Challenges for Europe's Cohesion".
