Introduction
The EU institutions in Brussels will open their doors to the public and the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) invites you to explore how Europe’s regions and cities shape the future of the EU.
Meet the people who represent the voice of your region in the EU
Find out how the CoR gives regions and cities a say in EU policy making. Visit our interactive stands to learn about the CoR's role, its political groups and the concrete impact of local and regional leaders across Europe. You can even have a chat with some of the elected representatives coming from their -sometimes remote- region to meet the Europe Day visitors!
If you are curious to know how the EU works behind the scenes
You will have the opportunity to discover the role of the European Committee of the Regions and even chat with Human Resources' representatives to explore career and traineeship opportunities within the institution!
Fun for the whole family
There will be games and entertainment for the whole family including the younger visitors! Young and old can play games, take an easy quiz and win nice little prizes, and enjoy fun activities throughout the day.
Taste Europe at the Festival of regions and cities
As part of a much appreciated tradition, a variety of regions — from Sweden to Greece and from Spain to the Czech Republic — will present their culture, creativity, tourist attractions and gastronomic treasures. Enjoy tastings of local specialties, explore innovative regional projects, and experience the rich diversity of the EU — all in one place.
We are excited to welcome a unique and diverse group of regions from across Europe to this year’s Europe Day!
Join us in discovering the flavours, traditions and regional features of our regional partners
This year, we are particularly proud to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Sweden’s accession to the EU. To celebrate this, several regions from northern Sweden, including Jämtland Härjedalen, Västernorrland, Västerbotten, and Norrbotten, will be joining us for the first time. Visitors will get a unique chance to learn about the Sámi people, explore their arts and crafts, their gastronomy and culture, and enjoy much more from this fascinating Arctic area.
They will be joined by other regions from across the European Union to entertain you:
- Various Spanish regions
- The city of Vasto and Valle d’Aosta in Italy
- The South Moravian Region and Olomouc Region in the Czech Republic
- The Region of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace in Greece
Join us for a fun Europe Day 2025 at the European Committee of the Regions!
