On the occasion of Europe Day, Aix‑en‑Provence will host a festive and educational event celebrating European cultures, citizenship, and cooperation. Organised with the support of Anne Rudisuhli (FR/Renew), the event will bring together 16 mainly binational associations committed to promoting Europe and international exchange. Open to schools and the general public, it will take the form of a large associative forum featuring themed booths, collective activities, an artistic stage, and an evening citizen debate.

The 2026 edition will focus on the theme “Travelling in Europe”. Activities for young people will follow an educational journey designed by ADEAF, combining quizzes, language challenges, cultural discoveries, and meetings with associations. Participating students will receive a European passport, which will be stamped as they visit the different booths along the “Journey through Europe” route.

Each association will offer a mini quiz, a cultural or linguistic activity, and a passport stamp, while binational associations will highlight specific aspects of their countries. The programme will also showcase amateur artists from the participating associations, contributing to a lively and inclusive atmosphere throughout the afternoon.

The day will conclude with a Europe Day debate from 18:00 to 19:30 p.m. at the Salle de l’Hôtel de Ville. Organised jointly by the Maison de l’Europe de Provence and the Mouvement Européen – France, the debate will explore the theme “Peace in Europe”, offering an opportunity for reflection and dialogue with citizens.
