The Role of Mountain Research Infrastructures in Regional Innovation

The event, organized under the aegis of the Knowledge Exchange Platform, will bring together European, national, regional, academic and research actors to discuss how the existing capacities of ICDCRM can be developed into a stronger European-level centre for mountain research, innovation and technology cooperation. The programme will connect research excellence, digital infrastructure, open science, knowledge valorisation and practical territorial needs.
The proposed longer-term objective is to establish the foundations of a Carpathian Research Hub able to support mountain communities through reliable data, applied research, European partnerships and practical innovation in areas such as biodiversity, water resources, mountain agriculture, forestry, climate adaptation and wildlife management.
