Your job and responsibilities
Interested in leading a cross-functional team (five officials, twelve contractors) and ensuring the successful delivery of digital services? Like to help your colleagues deliver secure, high-quality bespoke solutions that support core business processes?
As a Head of the Shared Solutions Sector in the Digital Solutions Unit, you will take overall responsibility for the delivery, maintenance and operation of the sector responsible for the Committees’ main business processes. You will ensure that technical execution is aligned with business objectives and the overall architecture, overseeing the full delivery lifecycle from requirements and design through to development, testing and deployment.
You will organise and coordinate the work of cross-functional teams (developers, QA, UX, DevOps), ensuring clear stakeholder communication and managing dependencies, risks and delivery timelines.
You will also be responsible for championing Agile/DevOps practices, driving continuous improvement, maintaining a focus on security and user experience, and ensuring that solutions deliver measurable business value.

JOB-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
- You have a passion for managing the delivery of digital services, including requirements gathering, development oversight, testing and deployment.
- You have strong stakeholder management and team leadership skills, with the ability to empower teams, foster a culture of collaboration and trust, and drive projects to completion within established deadlines.
- You are proficient in Agile, Scrum and related methodologies, leveraging them to drive project success and team productivity.
- You possess a strong technological background, enabling you to assess and prioritise business needs with due regard for technical constraints and opportunities.
- You have extensive experience of guiding development teams, providing both business-related support and technical instructions. You are well-versed in DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Automated Testing, Code Reviews and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- You have a thorough knowledge of one of the official languages of the European Union (EU) and a satisfactory knowledge of another of the EU official languages. For operational reasons, a high level of English is required and a good level of French is desirable.
ASSETS
- Previous experience of AI integration, portfolio management, agile delivery or managing consultancy contracts is a strong asset.
- Previous experience of understanding business processes and supporting the implementation of workflow solutions is a strong asset.
- Knowledge and experience of implementing large-scale agility (e.g. SAFe, LeSS or similar frameworks) is an asset.
