On 26 October 2023, the Biomethane Industrial Partnership (BIP), an initiative launched with the supportof the European Commission in September 2022, will publish its first reports, describing good practices and barriers to accelerate project developments and investments in biomethane in Europe. The event, co-organised by the BIP Secretariat and the European Commission, DG GROW, aims to present the content of the reports to relevant stakeholders, with a view to build a common understanding and vision on the best ways to rapidly increase biomethane production in the EU and reach the target to produce 35 bcm of sustainable biomethane by 2030, as set by the European Commission in the RePowerEU plan of May 2022.
