Through the implementation of a pilot electro-mobility system with a view to reducing CO2 emissions and increasing the market standards of the population, the Suceava municipality aims to improve the urban energy efficiency management in its territory. In order to achieve this objective, the Suceava municipality has decided to increase the number of electric vehicles in the vehicle fleet of the Suceava Municipality, increasing the number of electric bikes and setting up the related charging infrastructure in view of reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
As a result of this willingness, 14 standard charging stations, 14 fast charging stations, 56 parking lots for electric vehicles and 1 dispatcher have been installed.
The municipality also purchased 11 electric vehicles, 2 electric vans, 2 electric utility vehicles and 10 electric bikes.
At the end of 2018, the contract for the provision of small capacity electric buses (5 small electric buses for public transport in the Suceava municipality) was concluded for additional activities approved by the Swiss partners.
