The local COP21 has created a network of actors. It forms the basis for a territorial ecosystem that will enable the ecological transition to be implemented. It allows us to work on the mobilisation of actors, to support their action and to find solutions to the challenges.
Inspired by the international COP21 of 2015, the local COP21 is a territorial facilitation approach aiming at mobilising the actors of the territory and bringing them to commit themselves in favour of the fight against global warming.
The approach is based on individual and collective meetings allowing companies and municipalities to formulate commitments to act. Everyone is asked to commit to a list of actions relating to energy renovation, process efficiency, production and/or consumption of renewable energy, mobility and goods transport, the use of bio-based products, waste reduction, responsible digital technology, sustainable food and the preservation of biodiversity.
Collective actions, in the form of coalitions of actors, or the setting up of support systems then facilitate the implementation of actions.
Citizen awareness and support for behavioural change are also developed via a House of Transitions and numerous events in the municipalities (my Little COP21 Workshop).
