This EU Local Dialogue, hosted by Adam Struzik (PL/EPP), Marshal of the Mazowieckie Region, invites citizens – especially young people – to explore and discuss the European Union’s Cohesion Policy, its positive impact at the regional level, and its role in the upcoming Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
The event will begin with a presentation titled “Funds That Change Mazovia – How the European Union Supports Our Development.” Participants will gain insights into the EU’s Cohesion Policy and its tangible effects in Poland and the Mazowieckie region. The presentation will highlight how European funds have contributed to regional development, showcasing key investments and projects already implemented.
In the context of Mazovia’s development, the session will address the region’s most pressing challenges and outline solutions planned under the European Funds for Mazovia 2021–2027 programme. It will also preview the strategic directions for support in the next EU financial perspective, 2028–2034. As high school students are the primary audience, the presentation will emphasize how the EU supports youth initiatives and opportunities.
The second part of the event will feature a showcase of successful projects in Mazovia funded by the EU. A representative from the Mazovian Unit for the Implementation of EU Programmes will present these achievements, followed by a beneficiary of the Funds for Mazovia 2021–2027, who will share their experience and project outcomes.
Through this EU Local Dialogue, young people in Mazovia will learn how to effectively apply for European funds to support their entrepreneurial ideas, infrastructure initiatives, and social projects – empowering them to shape the future of their region.
