On Monday, 27 October 2025, 14th annual meeting of the Conference of Regional and Local Authorities for the Eastern Partnership (CORLEAP) will be held in the capital city of the small mountainous country in South Caucasus. The meeting, which will be co-chaired by the CoR's Magali Altounian (FR/Renew) and Armenia's Varsham Sargsyan, is taking place back-to-back with the annual meeting of the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly, whose Co-President Sergey Lagodinsky, MEP, will address the assembly. EuroNest and CORLEAP share the same objectives, geographical scope, and methods of work.

In addition to the Head of EU Delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, a number of Armenian high officials will attend, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Vahan Kostanyan and Deputy Minister for Territorial Administration Kristine Ghalechyan among them.

The main topics to be discussed are the new EU's Strategic approach to the Black Sea region, the state and perspectives of decentralisation in the countries of the Eastern Partnership, and discussion and adoption of CORLEAP Action Plan for 2025-2029.

It is also expected that the new Co-Chair will be elected, and the place and approximate time of the next annual meeting announced.
