The EGTC Tatry received the award for the project “Historical, Cultural and Natural Cycling Route around the Tatras”. More than 160 km of separate cycling paths with related infrastructure were build, connecting eye-catching attractions on both sides of the Tatras. The project also includes promotional and informational activities to present the cultural heritage of the Polish-Slovak borderland and the Tatra Route.
The EGTC Euroregion Nouvelle Aquitaine - Basque Country – Navarre was given an honourable mention for the first ever cross-border, multimodal and multilingual (French, Spanish, English and Basque) traveller information system in that region.
The EGTC ESPON also received an honourable mention for its work as European node for territorial evidence, providing high added value for the European Union as a whole, and the EU institutions in general that regularly use the reports and findings of ESPON in their decision making processes.
