The 10th meeting of the ENVE Commission will take place fully in person on Tuesday, 29 September 2026, from 11:00 to 17:00, at the CoR premises in Brussels, room JDE52. 

The agenda includes two adoptions: 

Draft opinion: Citizens Energy Package 

Rapporteur: Yonnec POLET (BE/PES) 

Statement by: 

  • Alejandro ULZURRUN DE ASANZA Y MUÑOS, Head of Consumers, Local Initiatives and Just Transition, DG Energy, European Commission 

Draft opinion: Small Modular Reactors Strategy 

Rapporteur: Ans MOL (NL/ECR) 

Statement by: 

  • Kris VAN DIJCK, Member of the European Parliament (tbc) 

These adoptions will be followed by a debate on the priorities of the Irish Presidency (tbc), and a discussion on the stress test of the Birds and Habitats Directives, with Mr Csaba BORBOLY, Mr Roby BIWER and a representative of the Nature Conservation Unit, Directorate-General for Environment, European Commission. 

The meeting will then continue with a debate on Disinformation and Public Engagement in the Green Transition, with a presentation by Raffaella D’ANTONIO, Senior Advisor, Milieu Consulting. 

The meeting will conclude with the Green Deal Helpdesk, including: 

  • A discussion with Julien CHEBBO, Head of Public Infrastructure Advisory, European Investment Bank (EIB), on EIB support for urban climate action (tbc); 
  • A presentation by Alessandro ALLEGRA, Director of the European Academy of Science (EASAC), on EASAC programmes on energy and environment.
