The European Committee of the Regions is preparing a legislative opinion on "Preventing plastic pellet losses to reduce microplastic pollution".
The Rapporteur-general is Mr Roberto Ciambetti (IT/ECR), President and Member of the Veneto Regional Council.
To support his work, the CoR is organising a stakeholder consultation on Thursday, 15 February 2024, 10.00 – 12.30 at the European Committee of the Regions, JDE 51.

The opinion will follow an accelerated procedure. The draft will be prepared by mid-March and will be scheduled for adoption at the CoR Plenary of 17-18 April.
The opinion covers a legislative proposal of the European Commission.
