This project makes the information accessible, reaching out people usually out of reach (difficulties in working with digital applications, shame, low literacy)

Our municipality, together with the housing associations , provide a so-called energy box, with a personal advice. The energy box and the advice are for free for people who live in a house owned by the housing association.
In the city of Nieuwegein, approximately 30% of the houses is owned by housing associations. The energy-box contains materials to increase energy efficiency and decrease energy waste, and are for immediate use. Energy ambassadors pay individual home visits and advice house occupants what they can do save on their day to day energy usage.
