You are invited to take part in a hybrid stakeholder consultation, which will take place on Wednesday, 24 September 2025, from 14h30 to 16h00, in room JDE 70 of the European Committee of the Regions and online.
The CoR has recently appointed Lorenzo Galligani (IT/ECR), local councilor of Pistoia, as rapporteur for an opinion on the Single Market Strategy. Before drafting, the rapporteur would like to gather your views and feedback on this topic and on the following questions :
- Do you consider that the concrete proposals mentioned in the Single Market Strategy, based on the available information, match the European Commission's ambition to strengthen the single market and address current and future challenges of the EU ?
- What are the Single Market Strategy's major blind spots ?
- Are the specific Chapter on SMEs and the dedicated actions for SMEs ambitious enough?
- Does the Single Market Strategy have a sufficient regional and local dimension ?
- Does the Single Market Strategy properly address the needs of regions and cities? If not, what is missing?
- How could local and regional authorities be better and more properly involved in the implementation and enforcement of the Single Market Strategy?
- Is the European Commission's MFF 2028-2034 proposal well aligned with the Single Market Strategy?
