The Mazovia support programmes provide real financial assistance to fight for clean air and combat agricultural drought. They help local authorities step up action to promote air quality and tackle the effects of agricultural drought.
The Mazovia Clean Air Programme (previously the Air Protection Support Instrument) provides financial support to local authorities to improve air quality, based on the anti-smog resolution and air quality programmes. The programme awards grants for activities related to monitoring compliance with the anti-smog resolution, educational activities, preparation of policy documentation, installation of charging stations for electric vehicles, and measures to carry out short-term action plans. The financial support programme for municipalities "Mazovia for clean heating" aims to provide real assistance and to eliminate poverty. The scheme's beneficiaries are the municipalities carrying out the programme. This involves providing allowances to local people to buy energy carriers, or granting subsidies to replace heat sources or carry out energy renovation of residential buildings.
So far, some PLN 49 million have been earmarked for 743 projects. The scheme's 2023 budget amounts to more than PLN 10 million. The pilot financial support scheme for municipalities "Mazovia for clean heating" was launched in 2023. The programme's 2023 budget comes to PLN 5 million.
