The 11th Subsidiarity Conference will take place in Warsaw (Poland), in the morning of Friday, 25 October 2024 (08:30 - 14:30), upon invitation of the CoR member Adam STRUZIK, President of the Mazovia Region.
The Subsidiarity Conference is a biennial event that seeks to strengthen the EU inter-institutional dialogue on subsidiarity scrutiny and to allow for a meaningful exchange between institutions and stakeholders involved in active subsidiarity and better regulation activities.
Taking place at a crucial moment against the background of the European Parliament elections and in the setting up of a new European Union institutional cycle, the 11th Subsidiarity Conference will build on the outcomes of the Conference on the Future of Europe, on the recommendations of the CoR Better Regulation and Active Subsidiarity Steering Group (BRASS-G) and on the findings of the opinion on 'Active subsidiarity: a fundamental principle in the EU better regulation agenda', in order to agree on conclusions paving the way for the future CoR's active subsidiarity and better regulation agendas. The works of the Conference will be structured around a first session on 'Active subsidiarity: a new approach for the new institutional cycle' and a second session on 'Active subsidiarity and European added value in policy making'.
Interpretation will be provided in DE/EN/ES/FR/IT/PT/PL.
