At the next meeting of the Working Group on Defence, members will discuss the European Parliament’s current policy priorities and activities, with the participation of Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, Chair of the Committee on Security and Defence (SEDE).
The agenda will also feature an exchange of views on current NATO defence policy initiatives, alongside discussions on the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, regional cooperation in the implementation of defence industry initiatives, the space dimension of EU defence, and a presentation of the REGDUALOSA research results.
The programme will begin with a visit to the European Defence Agency, highlighting the role of regions in strengthening the European defence ecosystem.
