Under the motto “Turn on the value, switch off the waste” the European Week for Waste Reduction 2025 (EWWR) Awards Ceremony will bring together local authorities, organisations, businesses, educators and citizens to celebrate inspiring initiatives that promote waste prevention, reuse, recycling and circular economy practices across Europe.
The conference will showcase the EWWR 2025 finalist actions but also expert perspectives on how communication, education and community engagement can drive more sustainable behaviours and reduce waste generation. Through thematic sessions, participants will explore creative awareness campaigns, youth-led initiatives and innovative approaches to reuse, repair and recycling, with a particular focus on Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment but not only. Speakers from European organisations, local projects, innovative private actors and social enterprises will highlight practical solutions that combine environmental benefits with social impact, fostering inclusion, job creation and responsible consumption.
The event will conclude with the EWWR 2025 Awards Ceremony, recognising the most outstanding initiatives contributing to Europe’s transition towards a more circular and resource-wise society.
