1. Citizen Energy Advisory Hub: call for municipalities to host Citizen Energy Panels

Are you looking to engage your community directly in shaping your local energy transition?

The Citizen Energy Advisory Hub (CEAH) has opened a call inviting municipalities across the EU to apply for support to organise a Citizen Energy Panel—a one-day participatory workshop designed to involve citizens and local stakeholders in co-creating solutions for energy and climate challenges.

Selected municipalities will receive comprehensive support, including:

  • Technical and logistical guidance to organise the panel
  • Training and materials for facilitators and participants
  • Communication toolkits to support outreach and citizen recruitment
  • On-site expert support during the event
  • Assistance in analysing and disseminating the outcomes

Deadline: 31 July 2026

Find out more and apply via the Citizen Energy Advisory Hub dedicated webpage.

2. EIB Sustainable Water Advisory Facility: support for water projects now available!

Are you planning investments to improve water management, resilience, and sustainability in your territory?

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is offering advisory support through its Sustainable Water Advisory Facility, helping project promoters develop, finance, and implement sustainable water investments.

The facility assists projects that aim to improve access to water, reduce climate risks, and reinforce the resilience of the water sector. It provides a combination of technical and financial advisory services, delivered by EIB experts and external consultants.

Support is tailored to the needs of each project and covers three main areas:

  • Market development: analysis of investment needs, funding gaps, and sector challenges
  • Project advisory: technical, financial, and procurement support from early planning through implementation
  • Capacity building: strengthening skills, systems, and knowledge across public authorities, utilities, and financial actors

Local and regional authorities seeking support can contact the EIB advisory team directly to discuss their needs and identify the most suitable assistance.

3. Cohesion for Transitions (C4T): third call for GROUNDWORK technical assistance now open

Are you looking to strengthen the implementation of Cohesion Policy investments for the green transition in your region?

The third call for C4T GROUNDWORK technical assistance is now open, offering targeted support to improve the delivery of investments under Policy Objective 2 of Cohesion Policy—supporting a greener, low-carbon, and climate-resilient Europe.

The initiative provides hands-on technical assistance to help public authorities better design and implement projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Cohesion Fund (CF). It covers a wide range of thematic areas, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, climate adaptation, water management, circular economy, and biodiversity.

Selected applicants will benefit from tailored guidance, practical expertise, and access to knowledge resources to address implementation challenges and enhance the impact of their investment programmes.

Applications must be submitted online via the EU Survey platform.

Deadline: 11 September 2026
