Enlargement Days return on 2–3 June 2026 as the European Committee of the Regions’ leading platform for discussing the future of EU enlargement. Since 2015, the event has connected local and regional authorities from across the EU and enlargement countries, fostering dialogue, cooperation, and the exchange of best practices.

Held under the patronage of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union, this year’s edition places Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI) at the heart of the debate.

Through Joint Consultative Committees, Working Groups, an interactive workshop and a plenary session, participants will explore how local and regional actors can strengthen communication on EU enlargement and effectively counter disinformation. Representatives from local and regional authorities, together with key stakeholders and experts, will share practical insights and on‑the‑ground experience.

Live streaming will be ensured through a multilingual online platform. More information on the programme will be made available in the coming weeks.
