Organise an EU Local Dialogue

The CoR supports its members and alternate members organising EU Local Dialogues with a flatrate outreach allowance, as well as additional communication and promotion support upon request.

CoR members wishing to apply for support while organising an EU Local Dialogue in their constituency are invited to take into account the following information.     

Support options

  • The support includes a flat rate outreach allowance of EUR 1400 which the members can use to organise and pay for the costs of a local dialogue in whatever format they choose;
  • Members participating as speakers in an EU Local Dialogue can also claim their standard meeting allowance;
  • Promotion of the event and engagement with the CoR's Young Elected Politicians and European Network of Regional and Local Councillors;
  • Creation of an event webpage on the CoR's website and web-streaming (if applicable);
  • Social media and press support (if applicable);
  • Visual branding.

Application

Conditions

  • Only CoR members and alternate members are eligible for the EU Local Dialogue support;
  • The event must not take place less than one month before an election, including European Parliament elections, or any longer period, as defined by the relevant national laws currently in force. This restriction shall apply only in the Member State, region and/or municipality concerned;
  • All formats of events are eligible for support (digital, physical, hybrid);
  • The application should be submitted at least 10 working days before the planned date of the event.
  • EU Local Dialogues must have a genuine European dimension, as well as promote political diversity and gender balance.

Procedure

  1. Applications must be submitted online;
  2. The organising party is contacted by the CoR secretariat via email to confirm the application, the requested support and any additional next steps;
  3. The organising party must submit an event report within one month after it took place.
