The award for the first cross-border hospital in Europe EGTC Hospital de Cerdanya / Hôpital de Cerdagne recognised the great effort in the implementation of this hospital and its big impact on the territory, improving significantly the day-to-day standard of living of the citizens and proving European added value. The Hospital was considered the most outstanding project of cross-border cooperation carried out by an EGTC, a milestone in the harmonious and integrated development of the territory and an example for cross-border cooperation across Europe.
The EGTC Europa-region Tyrol – South Tyrol – Trentino received an honourable mention for the 'Euregio Science Fund'. Its focus on research was considered particularly important to generate innovative growth to contribute to the joint development of the Euroregion.
