As part of the European Committee of the Regions' initiative to bring Europe closer to its citizens, François-Xavier Priollaud (FR/Renew Europe), Vice-President of the Normandy Region and member of the European Committee of the Regions, will engage in a dialogue with members of the Louviers Citizens' Academy. The discussion will offer young people from Louviers an opportunity to exchange directly with local and regional representatives on how European policies shape their daily lives and future opportunities.

The event will also feature Marina Malandain, municipal councillor of Louviers and Europe correspondent in the Network of Local Councillors for the European Union. Together with the participants, they will explore key issues affecting young Europeans, including youth mobility and employment, security and social cohesion in cities, environmental and ecological transition, and the future of European democracy.

Particular attention will be given to the role of local and regional authorities in strengthening citizens' engagement with the European project and to the European Committee of the Regions' efforts to improve communication and proximity with citizens, especially young people. The discussion reflects François-Xavier Priollaud's role as Special Rapporteur for the CoR's communication strategy and the Committee's commitment to fostering a more accessible and participatory European Union.
