This one-day, hands-on workshop brings together foresight practitioners from EU institutions and agencies, Member States, regions and cities, international organisations and universities. It provides a dynamic platform to showcase projects, exchange experiences, share methods and best practices, and foster constructive collaboration. Held on the eve of the ESPAS Annual Conference, the event focuses on the practical application of foresight in policymaking through interactive sessions, peer learning, and tool demonstration.

Draft structure of the day

Morning
•    Welcome coffee & opening remarks
•    Ice-breaker: short pitches on foresight use
•    Project showcase: poster session & gallery walk
•    Parallel demonstrations of foresight tools and methods

Midday
•    Lunch break offered on site

Afternoon
•    More parallel demonstrations of foresight tools and methods
•    Roundtable discussion: Generating collective intelligence through participatory foresight
•    Presentation of a new tool for navigating uncertainty: Polycrisis exploration tool
•    Networking coffee

Closing
•    Final roundtable: Embedding foresight into policymaking
•    Closing remarks

Registration is required for all participants. Attendance is only possible after registering, and the event will be held in person only.

If you have an access badge (CoR, EC, EP, Council, etc.), please proceed directly to the Building Van Maerlant (VMA) - Room 21, 2 rue Van Maerlant, B-1040 Brussels. If you don’t have an access badge, use the visitors’ entrance at Rue Belliard 101 (next to the main entrance) and go to the main reception for accreditation. Please bring your ID card.
