The opinion's timeline is as follows: the first discussion and adoption of the draft opinion is scheduled for the SEDEC meeting on 10 December 2026 and the final adoption is expected in the plenary session of 3-4 February 2027.
The rapporteur would be happy to meet with representatives of local and regional associations and other stakeholders for a consultation and an exchange of views on the subjects of this CoR Opinion.
The following proposal by the European Commission is concerned:
The rapporteur is very keen to hear stakeholders' views during the meeting. After a short introduction by the rapporteur, stakeholders will be invited to exchange views with the rapporteur.
The meeting will be held in English and Italian.
Participation will be possible in-person at the Committee of the Regions and online.
