The European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights is a network of experts and specialist stakeholders from public sector, private sector and civil society. The Observatory based at European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), is holding its annual hybrid meeting for private sector representatives on 7 March 2024 in Brussels, Belgium.

The yearly meeting will include a brief review of the Observatory's milestones, a panel on the link between IP crime and environment and health & safety, a panel on IP: Regional perspective,  and one on challenges for Apps and App stores: counterfeiting and piracy. The European Commission will provide an update on major institutional developments, and answer questions based on stakeholder input.

There will be presentations about study on the impact of the belt and road initiative, in cooperation with the OECD and a discussion on artificial intelligence. Private sector stakeholders will also present initiatives that they developed over the past year or that are currently in progress.
