The school building in Mornese is of vital importance to the survival of our town but, at the same time, accounts for a considerable amount of the municipality's financial resources, especially with regard to utilities, such as electricity and gas.
This is the main reason why the municipality, with help from regional and national funds, embarked on and completed a major energy-efficiency project for the whole building, replacing the boiler with a new, more efficient one, insulating all of the building's walls, putting false ceilings in classrooms and other parts of the school and replacing all light-bulbs with ultra-low-consumption LED lights.
This good practice is already generating substantial financial savings for the municipality of Mornese.
